I bought a LS500 Executive Package L/Certified and had the same issue of a falsified certification from Field's Lexus in Glenview IL (north of Chicago) we agreed on a OTD (pending PPI) and I flew up to pick up the car and I did the PPI and started finding things that were said were checked and clearly they weren't. When it was all said and done and I did the inspection I got another $2000+ off the car. It needed a battery, an oil change, there were small small scuff and scratches they weren't disclosed when I asked if there was any damage no matter how small tell me about it. (Luckily they will buff out) After everything was settled and paid - I told them that the car had a $4000 K40 Stealth Radar Detector and Jammer on it they didn't know about ... if you inspected the car you'd know it was on there. Especially something they installed 2 years earlier since the car was originally bought and serviced at that dealer. So yeah the L/Certification is a scam, everything marked OK when it wasn't. But I got it all fixed and made them pay for it. Lesson here is 161 inspection 2 year Warranty - get it inspected yourself and cash in on that warranty and have Lexus fix it. All car dealer lie, even the higher end dealers.

Don't really believe their explanations. 1) You don't check off the CPO items, unless you have verified each single item in the check list. That is borderline fraud. 2) You don't provide a certificate unless the person providing the certificate has verified the work. That is fraud.

Why can’t Lexus make reusable clips? Is it that hard to do? It just adds to the cost and waste of maintaining the vehicle. They could’ve easily made clasps that flip on and off without using these flimsy clips that flies off and gets lost in seconds. Stupid design.

I think CPO simply means they go through a checklist and ensure things on that list are in good working condition. It's not free of minor defects. They may be annoying but do not keep you from safely operating the vehicle.

I may have missed you mentioning it, but did you go to California to have a look at the red car before buying it?

⁠well right now I have learned that the tailgate control module is fried and it might be water damage. It lives kind of down gradient from the roof channel on the drivers side and I had Honda stealership install the roof rack. I’m suspicious that the stealership installer damaged the sealant in that channel and water is getting inside. It’s a disgusting mess and I’m pretty unhappy.

Have you had any water getting into your rear cargo area after the install? Cheers

I have same RX and my climate control buttons are lagging. When I click buttons they sometimes react instantly sometimes after 5 seconds sometimes it recognisea 5 clicks but I did 1 (increasing or decreasing temp e.g.) no errors shown. Do I need to do the same as you did in this video?

I am selling my rx and getting a rav4, it’s so restarted that when you have a working a/c you need to have a computer to access the a/c. All computers fail and no longer supported. Why can’t we activate it with analog.

Hi on the premise that Refrigerant does not leak, the fact that you needed to reload Freon probably means that your system has a leak. Won’t the coolness be temporary until it leaks again? Trying to figure out as I have the same issue. I tried adding Freon to my moms rav4 and it only lasted the summer

I have a 2010 Lexus rx350 with only 20,000 original miles on it. The air conditioner system is weird/intermittent. So it is really nice and cold, but after 10 minutes or so, the ac goes warm, blows warm air. I found if I turn the ac off for a minute then restart, the ac is again frosty cold. Been happening now for 2 years. Some people on utube say it is a stuck ac compressor motor. Some people can take it apart and lubricate it successfully. Others claim if you put a magnet on thread compressor the magnet will help to “pull” the motor and work. I don’t know, but when it is nasty hot it sucks when it acts up.

Thanks again for the great videos. I've now replaced rotors and pads on front and rear, rear shocks and upper shock brackets, the oil cooler pipe ( sucked) front wheel bearing/suspension knuckle, PCV valve, and rear swaybar bushings ( relatively easy)...next going to tackle replacing front calipers, and after doing the rotors it doesn't appear to be that tough. Owned the car for about a year, driven about 15k miles, and it still amazes me how quiet and smooth it runs, even at 180k. The V6 averages 21mpg, and with 276hp it's acceleration is night and day compared to the Hyundai 4 cyl I moved out of...better mileage and more power don't usually go together! Question: the rear 'spoiler' that covers the rear wiper seems to leak badly directly in the center, allowing water to spill into the interior cargo area in back. Lucky the carpeted mat has rubber backing or this could be a serious issue...Even hand washing it leaks inside...would you replace the spoiler? It appears maybe it's missing some weather stripping to allow this substantial leak...

I was about to spend $75 for three blades purchased individually and these for all three were $25 and they look like great quality. Your video kept me from getting totally agitated with such a simple job!

New microvave has thin aluminium case - vibrate. Soundproof when put finger on case. Can i glue armaflex on aluminium inside to reduce vibration?

Hi, what a really nice video you have here. Just finished going through the video. My issue is with my recently purchased 2011 RX350, my air conditioner blows out well but after some few minutes/an hour, loses its coolness and blows out only air from all the vents, do you think this has any issue with amplifier?

Many improvements in the 2024 model. And actually cheaper as well. Never put a kickstand if you are serious about riding mountain bike trails.

Why not just stick with the 6x9 and go with the C2 JL instead?

The ceramic coating - "we'll send you the stuff you were supposed to get (that you paid for & paid to have installed) so you can install it yourself." Wow! I know it's not their fault, it's the dealership, but that's absurd! Imagine another situation where you paid to have the spark plugs replaced & they weren't replaced. You spend $700 & they just hand you the box with them in it. I'd be livid.

How has this battery & warranty worked out for you in 3 years?

After removing the old actuator, plug it back it and have someone operate the Heat / Cool control on the dash while you hold the actuator and see if it rotates
